What we do
At our new facility, the pharmacist will be part of a culturally-competent integrated care team, offering discounted medications for our patients.
Our pharmacists are trained to support the social determinants of health and the effects of stress and diet on our patients. Tepeyac pharmacists will be culturally responsive and provide services in both Spanish and English.
With an on-site pharmacy, it is easier for our clinicians to fully support patients in preventing and managing chronic conditions when patients cannot access medications due to cost and distance. Having our pharmacy on-site allows the pharmacists to form an ongoing relationship and become crucial to our patient’s care team.
In a recent survey from June of 2022, we asked our patients how we could improve their experience at Tepeyac, and the greatest need expressed by patients was for an on-site pharmacy, so we made it happen.”
