Pamela Valenza, MD, MPH
Family Physician, Chief Health Officer

Dr. Valenza provides medical direction, supervision, and integration of medical, behavioral, and dental health services within the clinic using her expertise working in integrated, team-based medical settings. Dr. Valenza received her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine where she received an Award for Excellence in Family Medicine, and she has since focused on serving Latinos, immigrants, Spanish speakers and medically underserved populations. Dr. Valenza completed her residency in family medicine at the University of Colorado/Denver Health, where she was appointed chief resident, and she is currently certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
IIn 2016, she received an award from the Pennsylvania Medical Society as one of the Top 40 Under 40 physicians in the state of Pennsylvania. In 2023, she was humbled to be named Family Physician of the Year by the Colorado Academy of Family Physicians. Her interests include women’s and children’s health including obstetrics, community health, and teaching. Dr. Valenza speaks Spanish and is an active member of the medical team at Tepeyac seeing prenatal patients, children, and adults.
Alison Quinn-Beitscher, FNP-BC, MSW, AAHIVS

Alison is a graduate of Boston College’s Graduate Schools of Nursing & Social Work. She has worked as a Board-Certified Family Health Nurse Practitioner since 2010 and is passionate about providing high quality medical & behavioral health care for all. She is also an HIV Specialist, credentialed by the American Academy of HIV Medicine, and provides primary and specialized care to people living with HIV. She currently serves on the Denver HIV Resource Planning Council, a Mayoral-Appointed Committee focused on providing access to high quality services in the community. As the Associate Medical Director at Tepeyac, Alison strives to provide empathic support to the clinic team.
Alison previously was the Assistant Medical Director of the Kennedy Community Health Center in Worcester, Massachusetts where she provided primary care and refugee resettlement services to a diverse patient population and supported clinic staff. In 2018, she received the Community Preceptor Award in Family Medicine at the University of Massachusetts and enjoyed developing an NP Residency Program affiliated with her health center. She continues to precept students at Tepeyac and enjoys mentoring and fostering the development of providers focused on community health and social justice. With her background in social work, she is very passionate about health care advocacy and has been involved in a number of legislative initiatives to help further access to health care for all.
Alison is proficient in Spanish and spends most of her free time wrangling her three young sons and exploring all that the Rocky Mountains has to offer.
Keely Burke, MD

Dr. Burke obtained her medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine, and completed her residency at the Saint Joseph Family Medicine Residency Program in Denver, where she completed additional obstetrical experience for patients both in the clinic and at the hospital. She enjoys partnering with patients and other team members in Tepeyac Community Health Center to provide holistic care for all patients. Her medical interests include women's health, pre- and post-natal care, and using preventative care to keep patients happy and healthy. She is proficient in medical Spanish and board-certified in Family Medicine. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Burke enjoys spending time with her friends, dog, and family outside in beautiful Colorado, trying new restaurants, and running.
William J Burman, MD

Dr. Bill Burman is the Director of Denver Public Health and a Professor of Medicine (Division of Infectious Diseases) at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He joined Denver Public Health as an infectious disease physician in 1995 and directed its HIV treatment and research activities. Since 2011, Dr. Burman has led Denver Public Health, focusing on assessing health and building broad-based partnerships to improve the health of Denver’s community. Dr. Burman was the interim chief executive officer at Denver Health for nine months, from 2016-17. Dr. Burman chairs the executive committee of the Mile High Health Alliance, a nonprofit that coordinates activities of medical, behavioral and social service providers in Denver. He also helped found the Metro Denver Partnership for Health, a group led by public health agencies serving the seven-county Denver metropolitan region.
Patrick Huffer, MD

Dr. Huffer obtained his medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine, and completed his residency at the University of Wisconsin Madison Family Medicine Residency Program, where he also served as Chief Resident and completed a fellowship in Faculty Development/Academic Medicine. He worked as a family medicine educator in Wisconsin and Michigan before joining Clínica Tepeyac. Originally from Colorado, Dr. Huffer is committed to improving the lives of individuals and communities through team-based care. He believes in the importance of local, patient-centered approaches built on trust, empathy, and continuity. His medical interests include promoting health through nutrition and lifestyle changes, education, treatment of substance use disorders, and primary and prenatal/postnatal care. He is proficient in medical Spanish and board-certified in Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine. Dr. Huffer enjoys being active with his family, including backpacking, fishing, biking, skiing, and playing fútbol, as well as reading and cooking.
Barry Martin, MD

Dr. Martin provides primary care and consultations for adults with a special interest in those with Down syndrome, other congenital or acquired disabilities with complex medical conditions. He is an Associate Professor of Clinical Practice in the Division of General Internal Medicine in the University of Colorado School of Medicine with over 30+ years of experience providing primary care to adults with disabilities. His care philosophy is to work with patients to help them achieve the health they need in order to live the life they want to live. In addition to his time at Tepeyac seeing adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, he sees patients in his primary practice at the University of Colorado Hospital Anschutz campus, providing care for adults with Down Syndrome and spinal cord injuries. In his spare time, he enjoys the Colorado outdoors with his wife and children.
Gabriela Rodriguez Ortega, PA-C

Gabriela (she/her/ella) attended the Red Rocks Community College Physician Assistant Program (RRCC PA Program) where she graduated with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies.
While in PA school, Gabriela led the Diversity and Inclusion Committee which served as a safe space to have open dialogue about implicit biases, racial inequities, and health disparities affecting our current health system. As a part of the committee, she created multiple educational newsletters discussing ways to provide empathetic and inclusive care to varying communities. Upon graduation, she was awarded the Mission Award given to the student who best exemplifies RRCC PA Program’s mission to serve all communities with professional and empathetic care.
Gabriela is bilingual in English and Spanish. She strives to take care of others with a patient-centered approach. She hopes to equip patients with the knowledge necessary to participate in shared decision making regarding their own health. She is passionate about using preventative care, lifestyle changes, and nutrition to improve health outcomes.
In her spare time Gabriela enjoys being outdoors, whether that’s long boarding, roller skating, hiking, paddle boarding or running.
Colomba Marcantonio, MD

Dr. Marcantonio obtained her MD from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Mexico. After completing a fifth pathway year at New York Medical College, Dr. Marcantonio completed her pediatric training at the Long Island College Hospital/Beth Israel Medical Center combined program in New York City. She subsequently completed a chief residency in pediatrics and went on to practice general pediatrics in New York City seeing newborns in the nursery as well as a wide spectrum of children during well child visits, sick visits and chronic illnesses. Dr. Marcantonio commits herself to providing high quality care to treating her patients as she would want her own children to be treated and strives to treat the whole child as opposed to just a specific illness or condition. Dr. Marcantonio is fluent in Spanish and Italian and is board certified in general pediatrics through the American Board of Pediatrics. A Colorado native, Dr. Marcantonio has recently returned to living in Colorado after having spent twenty years in NYC and enjoys spending her free time with her two young children, husband and dog as well as enjoying all that the beautiful state of Colorado has to offer.

Paulina is a graduate of the Red Rocks Physician Assistant Program with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies. In addition to being a PA-C, Paulina has been a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist since 2016 with experience in surgery and critical care nutrition. Her background in nutrition complements her medical practice, as she strives to provide holistic, personalized care in all life stages. Paulina is passionate about serving her community, with a special interest in the Hispanic community as it forms a part of her own heritage. While fully bilingual, Spanish is her first cultural language.
In 2015, Paulina was awarded the Outstanding Senior award from Purdue University in Nutrition Science and in 2020 the Mission Award from Red Rocks Physician Assistant program. Most recently Paulina was recognized as a rising star in migrant health and was awarded the Kugel & Zuroweste Health Justice Award, which recognizes frontline clinicians making an impact at the intersections of health and vulnerability within the migrant population. In 2023 Paulina was awarded the Extraordinary Personal Action Award by the Red Cross.
Paulina enjoys spending time outdoors, playing with her German Shepard, traveling and finds peace with a good book.
Daniel Wells-Prado, MD, AAHIVS

Dr. Wells-Prado was born and raised in Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School. During medical school, he completed a 9-month longitudinal curriculum in rural medicine, focusing on full-spectrum family medicine. Afterwards, he completed his family medicine residency at the University of Colorado Family Medicine Residency – Denver Health Track. He completed specialized training during residency to become an HIV specialist, credentialed by the American Academy of HIV Medicine. Dr. Wells-Prado has always felt at home working in community health centers and enjoys building relationships with patients throughout their lifespan. He enjoys taking care of patients of all ages, from newborns to adults, and everything in between. His areas of interest include chronic disease management, pediatrics, infectious diseases including HIV and hepatitis C, addiction medicine, care for the LGBTQIA+ community, prenatal/postpartum care, and gender-affirming hormone therapy. He speaks Spanish and is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, television dramas, spending time with his partner and dogs, and will never say no to some good ice cream or M&M’s.

Julie Alvarez (she/her/Ella), born and raised in El Paso, TX, completed her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at The University of Texas at El Paso.
Coming from a predominantly Latinx city, Julie is excited to serve the Latinx community in the Denver area through compassionate and nonjudgmental care. Julie’s experience as a psychologist assistant developed her passion to help people manage and improve their mental health both in their everyday experiences as well as those facing severe hardships.
Julie firmly believes that caring for our mental health is a daily activity and seeking help should not be a last resort. Julie is on her journey to complete her licensure in counseling and due to her love of education, plans to obtain a PsyD degree in Counseling.
In her free time, Julie reads, enjoys some ”cafecito,” and rewatches her favorite series and movies. Julie is looking forward to hiking the mountains of Colorado, which are much taller and colder than the ones back home.

Marlene Jimenez received her Bachelor's of Science from Regis University with a major in applied psychology and a Master of Arts, majoring in Marriage and Family Therapy, also from Regis University. Marlene has been dedicated to serving children and adolescents over 8 years when working for public schools. Coming from a Spanish-speaking family, Marlene understands the importance of highlighting mental health in the community. Through her journey of completing her Master’s, Marlene continued to work for underserved families and individuals as she strongly believes everyone deserves to heal and no one should have to endeavor such journey alone. Marlene has a passion of using distinct techniques to help children, adolescents, and families heal and thrive, including play therapy and many other experiential interventions. Marlene’s commitment to serve communities continues as she works towards obtaining her Marriage and Family Therapy license. Outside her profession, she loves to play with her children, explore new places with them, spend time with family, cook, and bake.

From his college years, Michael was deeply involved in volunteering with community programs, harm-reduction initiatives, and local homeless outreach, providing educational services to those struggling with substance use and co-occurring disorders. These experiences ignited his passion for aiding individuals dealing with mental health, trauma, and substance use disorders. His thesis work led to the creation of an intervention model through EEG Neurofeedback protocols for treating substance use disorders in Puerto Rico.
Alongside his research, Michael has earned multiple professional certifications to enhance his understanding of substance use and mental health disorders. His clinical experience spans across various settings, including hospitals, residential treatment, and teletherapy, in Puerto Rico, California, and Colorado, offering psychotherapy to a diverse clientele.
Michael holds a Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology from Carlos Albizu University in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and is a fully bilingual Clinical Psychotherapist, proficient in delivering mental health services in both English and Spanish. Through his work, he has demonstrated exceptional skills in reconnecting individuals with themselves and empowering them to take control of their lives.

I am Letty Torres, SWC (she/they | ella/elle), was born and raised in Colorado, Latine, bilingual, first-generation American, compassionate, and dedicated therapist who creates a safe and supportive environment for my clients. With a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in social work from Metropolitan State University of Denver, I bring a strong educational foundation to my practice.
I specialize in working with individuals, families, and children and adolescents who identify across a spectrum of LGBTQ and gender identities, neurodivergence, and have experienced attachment issues or trauma. Through my extensive experience, I understand the unique challenges faced by young individuals who have gone through discrete or prolonged traumatic events. My goal is to provide them with the necessary tools and support to heal and overcome their past experiences, empowering them to lead fulfilling lives.
As an EMDR basic-trained therapist, I use this evidence-based therapy, informed by attachment theory, alongside a systemic and relational approach, to help individuals process and resolve their challenges in an authentic and adaptive way. I have also trained in Ego States Therapy with EMDR and Synergetic Play Therapy, enabling me to guide individuals through the healing process, reprocess distressing memories, and reduce the emotional impact of past traumas.
I am committed to creating an environment of radical acceptance, love, and warmth in my therapy practice. I believe that every person has unique strengths and deserves respect and understanding. Matthew Galvez (he/him/his) has joined the Tepeyac family as a Behavioral Health Provider. Matthew’s goal is to support patients in their journey to create a healthier relationship with their own thoughts and emotions. Most of Matthew's experience comes from the mental performance realm of psychology where he has worked with athletes and performers of all ages including youth, collegiate, and professional levels. Matthew graduated with a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of North Texas and a Master’s in Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of Denver. Post graduation, Matthew worked with the Toronto Blue Jays as a Mental Performance Coach and most recently has been working in private practice settings with mental health and mental performance alike. Outside of work, you can find Matthew snowboarding in the mountains during the winter months and playing tennis or riding his bike through Cherry Creek Trail during warmer months. Matthew loves finding new restaurants around Denver as well as dessert spots to fulfill his foodie cravings!

Dr. Eduardo Sonnenschein was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, and completed high school in Miami, FL. After completing high school, Dr. Sonnenschein served as a Combat Medic where he deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. He graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and later from dental school at Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry. After completing dental school, he decided to seek additional training in an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency program where he received advanced training in dental implants, oral surgery, and medically compromised patients. Dr. Sonnenschein is passionate about educating patients about the connection between the oral cavity and systemic health. In his free time, he enjoys snowboarding, swimming, bicycles, and motorcycles.

Arkadiy is an alumnus of the University of Denver with a Bachelor’s degree in biology and Midwestern University with a Doctorate in Pharmacy. In addition he has also completed a post graduate certification as a Pharmacy Regulatory Specialist. He has been in pharmacy for over 20 years as a pharmacy technician, intern pharmacist, inpatient and outpatient pharmacist and pharmacy manager during that time passionate about leading teams with the goal of providing high quality care to all patients.
