Letter From the CEO on COVID-19
Dear Patients and Partners of Tepeyac Community Health Center
During this rapidly changing COVID-19 pandemic, we are dedicated in providing the best and most effective treatment to our nearly 5,000 patients who come to us from throughout the Denver Metro Area.
Following our mission, to inspire health, wellbeing and humanity in our community, through all of life’s stages, Clínica Tepeyac remains committed to provide high-quality integrated medical, behavioral, and dental health care to the patients we serve. We remain steadfast in our commitment to ensure that all our patients, regardless of their ability to pay, are treated with the highest level of dignity and respect.
As we continue to adapt under very challenging circumstances, we wanted to keep you informed about a major development regarding the way we will be providing care going forward. Effective Tuesday, March 24, you can access your Clínica Tepeyac medical or mental health provider via video chat and/or phone consultations. This new model of care called “telehealth” allows you to see and speak with your provider from the comfort of your own home.
To make a telehealth appointment with your medical or mental health provider, call Clínica Tepeyac at (303) 458-5302. If telehealth is not an option for you, please contact us, using this same phone number to speak to our medical staff and to schedule a phone consultation.
According to our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Pamela Valenza, “telehealth and phone consultations are ideal for patients. The system is patient-centered and focused on keeping patients at home. It’s convenient and efficient and protects our patients, our medical staff and the community from exposure to COVID-19.”
The telehealth process is started by calling Clínica Tepeyac and requesting a visit. You, as a patient, will need access to email and a phone or computer (with a video camera, microphone and speaker). Upon making the appointment, you will receive an email or text from Clínica Tepeyac, confirming the appointment and explaining how to connect. At the appointment time, you will connect on your computer or phone and will be face-to-face with your medical or mental health provider.
As Dr. Valenza stresses, “Our patients will be able to stay in the comfort of their homes and limit their potential to be exposed to COVID-19 by those who are sick. We are excited about launching this new phase of health care to best treat our community. We are also able to evaluate other conditions via telemedicine visits, including chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, depression and anxiety. We are also able to prescribe your medications and address other concerns such as rashes, urinary infections, and family planning.
Clínica Tepeyac’s focus during this time is to slow the spread of the virus, support our local healthcare/hospital infrastructure, and care for the most vulnerable members of our community. Please take personal responsibility to help stop the spread of COVID-19 by practicing personal hygiene actions which serves to protect others.
We strongly encourage you to practice social distancing and to minimize unnecessary social interactions wherever you live in the Metro Denver Area.

One of the best ways to help us now is to make a gift to help us address the strain that COVID-19 pandemic has placed on our staff and available resources. PLEASE DONATE HERE
We are incredibly grateful for our patients and community partners. In this spirit of gratitude, I wanted to share the words of one our recent patients as he was leaving the clinic, “I will be praying for you, for your health because you are here at the front line -- for all the doctors and nurses, all of you are here for us under this situation. God bless you all and be healthy.”
We are here to care of you and your family and to be a strong community partner as we have for the past twenty-five years. Thank you for your continued support during this very challenging time!
Sincerely,
Jim Garcia
