Statement in Opposition to Systemic Racism
At Tepeyac Community Health Center, we are committed to opposing systemic racism and bigotry in all its forms. We are also committed to working with other organizations which are focused on promoting the health and wellness of our community, particularly within the African American/Black community. As an organization, we have taken steps to address racial inequities associated with increased ICE enforcement in our communities, as well as the Public Charge ruling, which has had an incredibly harmful impact on our patients and their families. Tepeyac Community Health Center stands in solidarity with our community members, family members, friends, and neighbors who are calling for changes to a system that still allows disparities related to access to health care, education, employment, housing and the criminal justice system. We are committed to changing these health, racial and economic disparities by working towards improving health outcomes and creating access to affordable healthcare in collaboration with our patients and our community partners.
Please join us in standing up for access to healthcare as a human right and calling for an end to systemic racism in our nation. If you are struggling to find affordable healthcare, please call us at (303) 458-5302 to see how we can support you and your family meet your healthcare needs.
